The ACPO Archive project was a multi-faceted cataloguing project based at Hull University Archives at Hull History Centre. The project involved listing a large archive collection generated by the Association of Chief Police Officers, and other collections management tasks. It also included design and delivery of outreach activities and regular reporting to representatives of the depositing organisation.
As project lead I approached the collection informed by extensive cataloguing experience, ensuring a methodical approach, with defined targets. The allocated time frame produced a file level catalogue on the CALM collections management system.
Outreach activities included blog posts, learning resources on the My Learning website, an exhibition and organisation and delivery of a one day conference on the theme of Police Leadership: then and now.
